Everyone needs hobbies in their life so, I thought I would share some of mine.
With a farm at my disposal for fresh ingredients I would have to say that one of my favorite things to do is cook…yes, I know that’s not really a hobby, but it is for me. I love trying new recipes, making up my own ideas and watching my family enjoy them. For me it is just a good feeling to put ingredients together and come up with something delicious.
If I am not in the kitchen, you will probably find me knitting. I picked the hobby up several years ago in the attempt to make a Christmas gift, and haven’t put my knitting needles down since. I highly recommend this hobby for those that just want to sit and let their mind float away while your fingers make a creation for someone to enjoy.
Last but certainly not least, gardening. My garden is such a place of comfort to me so I do my best to spend as much time there as possible. While I do have a large vegetable garden, my favorite is my flower garden where I actively tend my variety of favorite flowers for the year. Because let’s face it, every farm house, needs a few flowers.
While I have lots of other hobby type activities that I enjoy, I would have to say that these are my top choices. If you do not have a hobby, I simply insist that you try to give something a whirl soon! You will be shocked, how much more relaxed you can become, if you can step away from the craziness of the world and just enjoy a craft or activity that brings you happiness and calms your world.
